Board of Directors

President -- Colin High

Colin High is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Upper Valley in Norwich, VT which straddles New Hampshire and Vermont, and belongs to both states' Interfaith Power and Light organizations which he helped to found. Colin is an environmental science consultant at RSG in White River Junction, VT, specializing in energy and air quality, specifically the analysis of avoided greenhouse gas emissions and renewable energy technologies.  He taught environmental science at Columbia and Dartmouth.

Treasurer -- Noel Jost-Coq

Noel Jost-Coq is a member of the Baha'i Faith and lives in the community of Lee, NH.  A teacher at a local high school, she is one of the faculty advisers to the student environmental club, and also a facilitator for Awakening the Dreamer Symposiums.

Secretary -- Mardy High

Mardy High is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Upper Valley which was the first Green Sanctuary in the UUA's now famous program. Trained as a social anthropologist, she had long careers as as a college teacher and as director of alumni continuing education Dartmouth. She lives in Enfield, where she and her husband Colin built an energy efficient house on Spectacle Pond. She and is also on the Board of Trustees at Enfield Shaker Museum.

Reverend Noel Bailey

The Reverend Noel Bailey was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church in 1989, and is serving as Interim Rector of St. Paul's in Lancaster, NH. She has often been involved in "green" issues, having served as Water Quality Chair for the League of Women Voters in Monmouth County, NJ, in the 1970's, and more recently on the Conservation Commission in Lee, MA, for several years. She has driven Civic hybrids since 2002 and enjoys photographing the wildflowers and wildlife on the country road where she lives.

Julie DiStephano

Julia M. Di Stefano has served on the Environmental Responsibility Committee of the Episcopal Diocese on NH for several years, and also on the FAITH AND ENVIRONMENTAL NETWORK, an interdenominational group under the auspices of the NH Council of Churches.  As a parishioner at Grace Episcopal Church, Manchester she works on the Creation Team to show what we can do as consumers to reduce our carbon footprint and care for our planet.

Kurt Nelson

Kurt Nelson holds a bachelor of arts in religion and history from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School. He currently resides in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and is the Assistant Chaplain of Dartmouth College. His interests include faith and sexuality, green theology, struggling with the Lutheran Church, being happily married, biking, frisbee and the Nintendo Wii.

Rabbi Jonathan Spira-Savett

Jon is the rabbi of Temple Beth Abraham in Nashua.  Ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary in 1995, Jon first got involved in environmental education with his colleague Mark Meiri at the Solomon Schechter High School of Long Island.  Together they helped launch a student activist group and co-taught a twelfth-grade seminar called "Living on God's Earth", which combined the study of ecology, economics, and religious thought.  Jon has been active nationally developing philanthropy and social justice experiences for teens.  He is on the executive board of the Nashua Area Interfaith Council.
